The INCAT group is the prosecution of Surface Science and Catalysis group, after the retirement of its founder prof. G. Granozzi
Our work is focused on the synthesis of novel materials through a knowledge driven design and their application in Green Chemistry, Heterogeneous Catalysis, Electrochemistry and Photocatalysis. We combine atoms, molecules, and materials to create advanced catalytic platforms for the activation of small molecules, production of fuels, and synthesis of fine chemicals
In our own small way, through the study and optimization of materials, we try to contribute to the development of more sustainable technologies for energy conversion and storage that will allow us to become independent from fossil fuels and their consequences
We are focused on different individual projects, nevertheless we collaborate as a team.
We follow a three-step strategy that connects synthesis, characterization and activity within a continuous circle of improvement.
We believe that team work, motivation and dedication can advance science and provide us with solutions.
